    Requirements for Employment at Poised Salon

    1. Professional Certification

      • Valid cosmetology license from an accredited institution for hairstylists.

      • Additional certifications in specialized techniques (e.g., color theory, extensions, or unique cutting methods) are preferred or requirement to obtain once employed.

    2. Experienced Stylists

      • Minimum of 2–5 years in a high-end salon environment, demonstrating expertise in current hair trends and techniques.

      • Proven track record of satisfied clients and a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.

      • Bonus: Share your KPI Reports

      • Must have some clientele to follow

      • Willing to adapt to new industry requirements (social media posts, self promoting etc.)

    3. Continuing Education

      • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development by attending workshops, seminars, and training sessions to stay current with industry trends with a positive attitude.

      • Continue elevating and perfecting your skills with mannequin work in down time.

    4. Customer Service Skills

      • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to provide a personalized experience for clients.

      • Ability to build and maintain a loyal client base through relationship-building and superior service and guest experience.

    5. Styling Proficiency

      • Mastery in various services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments tailored to individual client needs.

      • Ability to perform consultations, understand client desires, and provide professional recommendations.

    6. Team Player Attitude

      • Collaborative spirit to work harmoniously with team members, contributing to a positive salon culture.

      • Flexibility to assist in various roles as needed, maintaining a supportive environment.

    7. Presentation and Professionalism

      • Adherence to salon's grooming standards and dress code to reflect the upscale nature of the establishment.

      • Punctuality, reliability, and professionalism in all interactions with clients and colleagues.

    8. Sales and Marketing Skills

      • Knowledge of retail products and ability to effectively promote and sell them to clients.

      • Openness to participate in salon events and marketing initiatives to enhance business growth.

  • W-2 Employee

    Fair hourly wage paid or commissions, whichever is greater

    40-45% incremental service commissions paid

    10-15% incremental retail commissions paid

We are hiring a team player who want to help keep our luxury salon operating smoothly. Tasks include, cleaning, dusting the salon daily as well as deep cleaning, staying ahead of dishes, laundry, restocking shelves, inventory, being able to check out a customer, running errands or grocery shopping for the salon, etc. If this sounds like something you would like to be apart of, please apply today.
